It started as a friendly gathering to see the progression of Ninja’s roulette wheel. Many players were there such as Devon7y, Kaylo475, Fungicide_, and Ninja himself. Which were all present during the time of death of Baccarat (Ninja’s pet skeleton horse). Some bystanders who were there before and after the fateful event include Cat6172, Geospor, and Quarthe.
To show off how the Gamblers roulette wheel was coming along Ninja invited everyone in the general vc to come take a look. Many people came along to gaze upon the build and soon to be fully functional (along with other games in the casino). The tensions started to sour when Devon7y started messing around with the console, having opped himself he began changing people heights. What started as fun and games soon turned to a brawl as Devon7y began attacking Fungicide. Each of the two tridenting up to the chandelier above the roulette table and attempting to knock each other off. A game of King of the Hill if you will.
Multiple times Kaylo and Ninja said to watch out for Baccarat and Black Jack, two skeleton horses that resided within the lower level of the roulette room. And multiple times they were ignored.
As both Devon7y and Fungicide fell from the chandelier, Baccarat made her way over to the water the two had been using to trident up. As both fighters met at the water they clashed, and sadly Baccarat got caught in the crossfire. Causing the game of King of the Chandelier to end swiftly as a full on argument and investigation was started to find out who dealt the most damage and killing blow.
Luckily Ninja had forgotten to turn off replay mod from when he and some others had caught a giant phantom less than an hour prior. Using the footage and the console it was determined that Fungicide was the one to deal the first hit but Devon7y had also caused damage to the horse (and started the fight). Fungicide dealt the final blow that killed the horse. Still, both players were to share the blame for Baccarats death.
The saddest part of the whole ordeal was the fact that Ninja had previously swapped swords with Fungicide to test out the Raid Farm the two had built together but was having problems, as fire aspect wouldn’t work for the farm and Fungicide didn’t have that enchantment on his sword. Baccarat was killed with the sword of her owner, a true series of unfortunate events that lead to her death.
The debate ended when Cat6172 stepped in and stopped the argument with a single word (iykyk). With that everyone agreed both were indeed to blame, both shared the horses blood on their hands, and should be executed to make up for their crimes.
Fungicide accepted his blame in the fateful event and willingly let Ninja blow him up using an end crystal. While on the other end, Devon7y was fighting his conviction. Soon after the sentence he fled, hiding between the nether and the overworld. Eventually Ninja found him, and due to his superior PvP skills swiftly defeated Devon7y without using a single totem of undying. But that wasn’t enough, because Devon7y had tried to escape his crimes Ninja encased his grave within obsidian.
Ninja, Kaylo, and Fungicide guarded the obsidian in wait for Devon7y’s return for his gear. He tried to brew an invisibility potion but was outed by an achievement for doing so. While the 3 guarded the obsidian Devon7y bought an efficiency V book from the BookWorm Library, crafting a shovel to dig toward his grave while invisible. He was able to retrieve his grave and make his escape, not without a few hits taken.
In the end justice was served (more or less), but some tensions remain despite it all.
